Virtual Family

It's been quite some time since I posted...but can you believe that even since my last post the puke and snot continues?! Yes, Alyas was sick for about a week with a cold, got another ear infection (but needed two rounds of antibiotics), and then yesterday when the cost was looking clear we were hit again...snotty nose and threw up 3 times. Poor kid! Anyways....I wanted to post a video of our time in Ames over my birthday.

Every time we visit Ames we usually do a video "skype" chat with relatives in MN. MarySue's sister Barb and husband Ed have a computer and Great Grandma Cella goes to her house so they can all see Alyas. MarySue calls herself "Internet Grandma" because each new milestone that Alyas has we call her up so her and Grandpa can watch for themselves. Well, this this was a little different because now Uncle Marty in San Fransico has skype so he got in on the action too. We actually tried to get them to talk to each other through the computers...it kindof worked but there was quite a delay. It was really fun because right after we started Emilie came home and got to share the fun. Alyas was a little confused by it all but he does seem to recognize there are real people on the other end talking to him. We even snapped a picture of him and Marty together! We are such a high tech family!
