Christmas

Alyas' first Christmas was fun filled and relaxing. He did very well despite coming down with a cold on Christmas Eve. I have so many pictures I could include but I'll just choose a few. We spent Christmas Eve with my Mom and Dad and stayed the night. We had a nice meal and opened our gifts Christmas morning. Christmas night we headed to Ames.

Here's a picture of some P.J.'s given to Alyas for Christmas from a friend. Custom made with his name and had a drop out bottum. We had to take a picture of Alyas with no diaper on just because it was so cute.



Here is Alyas sporting a gift from Uncle Kinkayde. It's a 4-wheeler racing outfit, with a big #1 on the back and "Yamaha" written down the arms. Kinkayde was really excited to give this to Alyas and I think he has planes of getting him a little 4-wheeler in the future. Yikes! Alays is posed on a little truck here that was also a present. He is still wobbly on it so I had to take the picture fast!

Here is Alyas opening his first Christmas gift on his own...a super cool drum set from Grandma and Granpa Kybat. The inside was full of all sorts of other musical toys that make a ton of noise! (We let him play with one after at least 10 AM).

At Grandma and Grandpa Walls we had a relaxing time as well. Auntie Em was there as well as Great Grandma and Grandpa Wall. We were thankful to be around family and not to have to go from place to place or think too much about "events." We could just sit back and enjoy spending time with each other.

Last picture of Alyas playing with Auntie Em. She got a few slobbery kisses and lots of smiles. We sure wish we could have seen all our other siblings this Christmas...we missed you Kinkayde, Marty, Jeffery, and Heather!

Happy New Year as well. Brandon and I were just talking today about how big 2009 will most likely be for our family. With Brandon nearing the end of his Masters degree and applying to PhD programs, the posibility of studying in England, changes in the PAC house, and our little boy getting bigger each day. Whatever this year brings we are relying on God to guide and protect us and are so thankful for his presence in our lives and the tremendous blessings he has given us!
