Although it look around 3 months for Alyas to go from sitting to crawling it only took 3 weeks for him to stand after taking off crawling. Now he's really into everything and loves even to stand on his tippy toes. He's not too afraid of being up high and doesn't get "stuck" while standing, not knowing how to get down like some kids do. It's fun to see him explore and gain independence. He's still as smiely as ever but crys a little more often after falling over and bumping his head.


Standing has created some new challenges for bed time. Standing and yelling is a little bit more effective in protesting bed time...well kind of. I'm growing in my sternness on this topic and only going back in the room when the crying gets high pitched and I hear a "thunk" as he falls over once again. He already has a few small bruises on that forehead.

And also climbing up on the changing table. I was shocked to see that he ventured up their for toys. He looked so big climbing around without fear!
