English Botanical Gardens

The English take great pride in their gardens, so to not visit Cambridge's Botanical gardens would have to be some sort of insult. We've been waiting for the flowers to bloom to go, so since today makes me 3 days overdue on the baby calendar we thought we better give it a shot. Plus, the forecast looked promising with "sunny intervals"! (Oh, and I see BBC updated Monday's weather to "light" rain shower from "heavy"...it's a step in the right direction.)

Our beautiful family of four! I was lucky my camera can be set to take 3 consecutive self-timer photos because it look me until the third one was taken to get into the photo.




Not only were the gardens lovely, but they had wonderful smells as well. Alyas knows how to use his sniffer now, so he frequently stopped here and there to take in the aromas.



Alyas in a fun grass maze for kids. He usually just barreled over the tufts of grass instead of flowing the path.


Grass maze made even more fun by the chasing of a little girl!




Alyas excited to feed real ducks!


He did however shy away after one snatch the bread right from his hand and caught a bit of his finger as well.



MarySue we know we'll be busy packing when you arrive but we would like to take this little outing again with you...they've got a super cute gift shop as well! :^)
