More New Things
So many new things to blog about. We took some nice pictures the other day at the park with my friend Jill. Alyas was having a hard day (very testy, frustrated, and whinny), but we managed to get in some good laughs and smiles. I really think his new favorite place is the park...wide open spaces to roam around in, many objects to climb on, and tons of kids to observe and follow! It's amazing how going outside to the park or the front lawn to play with neighbor kids turns a sour puss into and delightful little boy!

Also new is Alyas' own rocking chair. Great Grandma Cella wanted him to have a chair of his own. I found this one at target and he took to it right away. We was climbing all over it in no time, but after he started to stand on it and fall off the edge I decided he could only try it out under supervision until he's older. It looks great and matches his new crib perfectly!

Here is a video of Alyas' latest new skills...all his new signs at once and the old favorite "Soooo Big". He also became very interested in using a utensil to eat with. He'll spend a long time trying to pick up a single carrot without getting frustrated which I find really interesting when other things that take that type of concentration can get thrown down and screamed at when they don't cooperate (we're working on that by the way). I love that he can sign and begin to communicate with us...next I'm going to work on teaching him to perfect his "more" sign, "eat", and "help."
